Publisher review:Vehicle Climate Control System simulates an automatic climate control (and electrical) system for a car. This model is the first of the two presentations given at the MathWorks Automotive Applications Seminar in Michigan on 02/12/2002 and 02/14/2002. The model consists of two systems, a climate control system and an electrical system. This allows for examination of the loading effects of the climate control system on the car's electrical system. The climate control system consists of four parts: the blower (fan), heater, air conditioner, and air distribution control. The system control is implemented in a Stateflow chart and the thermodynamic modeling is implemented using Simulink blocks. The Eis built using blocks from the Power System Blockset and models the conditions of the electrical system when the car is at idle speed.Included with the files is an additional model of the car's electrical system (carelecfinal.mdl) which allows for speed variation. Please unzip these files into your root MATLAB directory (the directory in which you have installed MATLAB) to ensure that you will be able to access the model documentation from the MATLAB Help Browser. Requirements: · MATLAB Release: R12.1 · SimPowerSystems · Simulink · Stateflow
